Rockport Business Places in International Photo Contest
Rockport MA: Sweet Remembrances, the old time photo parlor on Bearskin Neck, recently won several awards in the Antique and Amusement Photographers International (AAPI) 2007 Photo Contest. AAPI is the old time photo industry's largest photography association and includes members from the United States, Canada, and several other countries. Sweet Remembrances took one first, one second, one third place, four honor, and one achievement awards in as many categories.
The awards were presented at the annual convention of Antique and Amusement Photographers International, held in Las Vegas in February. This is the second year that that Sweet Remembrances enters an industry photo contest and wins in as many years. Last year the Rockport business entered the Central Casting Photo Contest and won six ribbons out of seven entries made.
"We are proud to have proven our consistency in producing quality photography, despite the general impression that these are just souvenir shots" says Sweet Remembrances owner, Zorylee Diaz-Lupitou. The portraits entered into the contest were created in the normal course of business by several members of the staff participating in different steps of the process including Jennifer Mineo of Rockport, Paul Masse of Salem, Michael Kahn of Beverly, Laura White of Beverly, Anne Thornton of Salem, and Diaz-Lupitou of Rockport.
Sweet Remembrances has been a Rockport tradition for nearly 24 years and looks forward to building on their reputation for quality old time photos created in a fun-filled, family friendly atmosphere.
